The story follows Rainer, a hyena who has recently just started his first year of college after graduating high school. Everything seems to have been going fine, but deep down, a darkness corroded his mind after the “incident.” Or maybe it’s the decay of the very world itself shrouding in darkness, or maybe not his world at all. After finding a mysterious book, meeting a mysterious fellow, Rainer must learn how to balance his normal life in his world, and focus on saving another world to save his. 

While he is dealing with his own problems, he always could deal with them and focus on himself. Now he has a new problem: he cannot control what or who gets hurt. He has no idea how to be a Guardian that he doesn’t deserve to be. And if he can't deal with his own problems, how is he supposed to deal with others' problems? However this problem will soon become his own too in the blink of an eye.

Will he succumb to the everlasting darkness in his mind before his world? Will he let his friends down for not trying hard enough? Will he become the monster he was afraid of becoming? Why doesn’t he show us how it’s done, shall we?
